Lawyer: Camera installed at the toilet of Fayaz’s cell

The lawyer of the former Head of the Presidential Security, Ahmed Fayaz Ali Riza (Papa), currently ordered to the remand jail, has drawn the attention of the Judges by saying that a camera has been installed at the toilet of his jail cell.

At the hearing today in the case against Ahmed Fayaz who is charged with intentional obstruction of a law enforcement officer, his lawyer Mahufooz Saeed said that while a camera has been installed at the toilet of his client’s cell, he would not do anything in the toilet the Correctional Officers don’t do in the toilet.

Lawyer Mahufooz said that there are rats at his cell and water used to clean the cell above leak on to where he eats.

Mahufooz said that Fayaz Ali Riza is dressed in the jail uniform illegally and while he is ordered into the remand jail, he is being kept at a jail where convicts are kept.

When given the opportunity to respond, the state prosecutor requested not to make a decision on it before summoning Correctional Officers to court and gaining information.

The former Head of the Presidential Security, Ahmed Fayaz Ali Riza has two charges against him. They are intentional obstruction of a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice.
