The work was tasked to Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) on February 20, 2013 during former Maldivian President Mohammed Waheed Hassan Manik’s administration. But has started only now.
The company signed to construct 21 asphalt roads on the island.
Further details regarding the project are unavailable as “Sun” has been unable to contact the media coordinator in charge of the project.
