Chinese romance movie to be shot in Maldives to promote tourism

A Chinese film crew has begun working in the Maldives to shoot a Chinese romance movie to promote the Maldivian tourism.

The film crew was invited by a joint cooperation of the National Center for the Arts (NCA), United Artists of Maldives (UAM) and the China-Maldives Cultural Association (CMCA) registered in the Maldives.

Co-founder of the CMCA, Ali Waheed told Sun Media that the movie titled “Love Me Changan” depicting a love story is being produced by the Shaanxi Han Tang Cultural Creative Institute in China is working on a release next year.

A film crew of 19 arrived in the Maldives yesterday to shoot the scenes in Maldives and is said to show the culture and scenery of the country.

Scenes of the movie are set to be shot in China and South Korea aside from the Maldives.

Although the exact locations for the scenes have not yet been decided, an official CMCA said that locations are being scouted.
