Ibrahim Nasir International Airport has said that they experienced a flood due to water spill.
The floods took place in front of the domestic and international terminals during the heavy rains this afternoon after a pipe in the ground started leaking.
The Manager of Corporate Communications at the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), Hassan Areef said today that the water was coming from a leak in a hole and the problem has now been resolved. He said that no damages occurred due to the water.
The flood at INIA occurred at a time where the government is preparing to begin a major development project at the airport.
