President travels to L. Atoll on official visit

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom set off for Laamu Atoll on Monday morning on an official visit.

President Yameen, along with Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim, Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad and Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer set off for L. Atoll at around 9:45 am.

President is scheduled to commemorate renaming of “Kaddhoo Airport” to “Iskandhar Air Base”, inaugurate Maavashu Mosque, commemorate completion of Gan sewage project, as well as relocation of people from Gaadhoo to Fonadhoo.

He will also be meeting with locals of the islands during his visit.
