Chief Executive Officer of Sun Media Group Sinaan Ali and Chief Editor of Sun Online Ahmed Zahir (Hirigaa) were awarded Fellow of Royal Institute of Singapore in its 7th Global Congress, held at Hotel Jen on Saturday.
Royal Institution is a global, multidisciplinary, professional membership and accrediting institution and operates as a platform for international networking and collaboration.
It celebrates the achievements of academics, professionals, businessmen, entrepreneurs, leaders, graduates and students, and confers a globally recognized status.
Sinaan was awarded Senior Fellow of Royal Institute of Journalists.

In addition to running Sun Media Group he is also a member of Board of Directors of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
Hirigaa Zahir was awarded Fellow of Royal Institute of Journalists.

Meanwhile, General Manager of Sales and Marketing, and Head of Programs of Sun Media Group – Minha Faiz was awarded a senior member of Royal Institute of Mass Communication.

Three Maldivians were awarded Research Fellow of Royal Institution; they are President of Civil Service Commission – Dr. Ali Shameem, former Health Minister and Chairperson of Institute for Counselling and Psychotherapy (ICP) as well as CEO of SIMIDI Group – Dr. Mariyam Shakeela, and Deputy Finance Minister – Dr. Aishath Muneeza.

Indian High Commissioner for Maldives Akilesh Mishra was also awarded Fellow of Royal Institute.
