A’ Level, HSC exams start with 3,700 students

Edexcel A’ Level Higher Secondary Certificate exams started on Saturday with participation of 3,761 students from 45 schools in Maldives.

Students who are sitting for exams are the batch of students who started their studies in May/June 2014 – the last batch of students who will be sitting for May/June exams.

The exams will end on June 28.

Education Ministry made the decision to no longer offer A’ Level exams in May/June and offer them only in October/November – same as O’ Level exams – in order to reduce the time period between when students finish O’ Level and start A’ Level education.

This will be applied to students who are currently studying in Grade 11.
