Malé branch of the Sri Lankan Aviation College has been reopened

The aviation training branch in the Malé City run by the Sri Lankan Airways, the Sri Lankan Aviation College has been reopened.

Sri Lankan Airways opened the Malé branch in 2012. But the branch was closed last year with problems in the operations.

Talking to Sun Media, Nadeesha Amarasinghe from Sri Lankan Airways College said that the branch previously closed down to seek a new Maldivian partner since they were unhappy with then partner.

She said that a good Maldivian company has been found as a new partner and a partnership would be signed very soon. She said that the name of the partner cannot be revealed at this time.

In the next month or so, a team from Sri Lankan Aviation College is set to come to the Maldives and make all necessary arrangements. Ms. Nadeesha said that the college is working to reopen the Malé branch within a month.

Courses offered at the Sri Lankan Aviation College include International Air Transport Association (IATA) Airline Cabin Crew, IATA Travel and Tourism Foundation, Cargo Indoctrinate, Airport Passenger Handling Foundation, Dangerous Goods Regulation along with Certificate Programs in Aviation Fundamentals.
