Fire incident takes place at restaurant kitchen

A fire has taken place at the kitchen of Cinnamon Garden Restaurant near Cina Malé flats.

The cause of the fire is unclear at this time. Media Officer of the MNDF, Major Adnaan Mohamed told Sun Media today that the fire at the restaurant kitchen was reported to the MNDF Fire and Rescue around 1:30 p.m.

He said that there were no major damages to the kitchen since it was a small fire.

Minor damages were sustained by the cupboards while the kitchen appliances sustained major damages.

A witness to the incident told Sun Media that the fire started on a stove used in the kitchen and was extinguished quickly.
