Small fire takes place at old Jamaaludheen School

A small fire incident has taken place at the old Jamaaludh School building where a tree caught fire.

Information Officer of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), Major Adnaan Mohamed told Sun Media that a report came in when people saw that tree inside the old Jamaaludheen Building was on fire.

He said that no damages were caused by the fire and was already controlled when the MNDF arrived on scene.

The office of the oldest newspaper in the country, Haveeru, was set on fire last night. And a large number of people were affected in the Coastline fire that took place two weeks ago.
