MNDF: It was a “false alarm” from the President’s Office

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that the fire alarm at the President’s Office was a false alarm.

With a fire alarm triggered at the President’s Office this evening, MNDF also said that they are active in the area responding to the alarm.

Information Officer of the MNDF, Major Adnaan Mohamed said that the alarm was a “false alarm.”

As a result of the false fire alarm at the President’s Office, MNDF has cleared every room in the building and said that there is no indication of any fire.

And they said that it was likely caused by a problem with the alarm system.
