Second platform installed to build bridge foundation

Second platform for the Male-Hulhule Bridge foundation was installed on Saturday.

Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that the project was going at full speed, and that he was very happy with the progress.

The first platform for the foundation of the bridge was installed in the ocean towards Hulhule last week.

Housing Ministry said that they were estimating that they would be able to start building the foundation by July, August, once the platforms are installed.

It has been agreed that the 1.39 kilometer bridge would be built within 30 months, and opened in 2018.
