Coastline donates MVR 1 million to victims of the fire

After the neighboring buildings were affected in the fire at the Coastline Hardware building, Coastline investment has donated MVR 1 million to the neighboring houses.

National Disaster Management Center (NDMC) said today that Coastline Investment presented the money to that center to aid those affect in the fire that began at Coastline Hardware and spread to it’s neighbors.

NDMC said that the money was presented at a meeting with the Director of Coastline Hardware, Hussain Mohamed and the Defence Minister, Adam Shareef Umar.

The money from Coastline would be given to the victims of the fire under a regulation set by the government.

The fire at Coastline on Monday took almost four hours to control. While the fire spread to three buildings in total, the government has provided shelter to the people of the affected residences.
