Over 90 stranded passengers being transported to Male

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) officers have started transporting passengers left stranded after the engines of boat from Velidhoo to Male’ they were on, stopped.

MNDF has informed “Sun” that there were over 90 passengers onboard Velidhoo boat “Handhuvaru” when it stopped near K. Kaashidhoo.

They said that MNDF Coastguard was working on transporting the stranded passengers.

Coastguard ship “Nooraddin” has been dispatched to carry the first batch of passengers to Male’ – a total of 52 passengers.
