Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen has held discussions with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak to extend on arrival visa for Maldivians visiting Malaysia to 90 days.
President Yameen, who is currently on a visit to Malaysia, met with Najib Razak on Tuesday and discussed the possibility of extending on arrival visa to 90 days, and discussed about finding a solution to the issue with dependency visa.
Najib Razak said during the meeting that he would also consider Malaysian national oil company – PETROAS (Petroliam Nasional Berhad) – selling oil to Maldives.
During the meeting, President Yameen noted that investment opportunities were available for Malaysian businesses in Maldives. And added that the government wanted to establish a Maldivian cultural center in Malaysia.
