MP Mahloof arrested for alleged attack on Police officer

MP for the South Galolhu constituency, Ahmed Mahloof has been arrested in a conflict that took place after the opposition MDP’s “Vagu Yageen” (A thief for sure) rally ended today.

Police said that MP Mahloof was taken into custody because he attacked a Police officer.

Mahloof attempted to flee the arresting officers by getting into a mosque. But Police brought Mahloof out of the mosque and arrested him.

He was also arrested in the last MDP protest as well before being released after counseling.

A confrontation took place today between the Police and the protestors after the rally ended. And so Police used pepper spray to disperse the crowd.
