Numerous Maldivian products exhibited at fair in India

Addu Women’s Association is participating in Surajkund International Crafts Mela, which started in Faridabad, India on February 1.

20 countries have participated in this year’s fair, aimed at showcasing artwork from different cultures.

52 Maldivian products are being showcased in the fair.

Secretary-General of Addu Women’s Association, Shafqa Shafeeq spoke to “Sun” and said that Maldivian stall was showcasing all handicraft work.

The Association said that the fair had proved to be a great opportunity for people who are talented in handicraft work, as well as those who teach how to harness the talent.

Shafqa said that the Maldivian stall had proven to be very popular among visitors, and was generating good money.

Bidhabin Boduberu Group is also in India representing Maldives in the fair along with Addu Women’s Association.

The fair will continue until February 15.
