Speedboat in Ihavandhoo burns down

A speedboat beached in Ha. Ihavandhoo has burned down beyond repair.

Vice President of Ihavandhoo Island Council Abdul Mueed Ibrahim spoke to “Sun” on Wednesday and said that it had been some time since the boat had been left beached.

Mueed said that he was hesitant to say if it had been deliberately burnt down until police conduct their investigation.

Police media official told “Sun” that police received news of a boat catching fire in Ihavandhoo at around 7:20 pm, Tuesday night. And that no one was harmed during the incident.

“No one has been arrested yet in relation to the case,” said the media official.
