Lost councilor from capsized dinghy found

One of the men missing after a L. Maavashu dinghy capsized while out fishing has been found drowned at sea.

Talking to Sun Media tonight, the Vice President of the L. Fonadhoo Island Council, Moosa Abdulla said that the missing man from the dinghy was the Maavashu councilor at the L. Atoll Council, Mohamed Abdul Rahman. Moosa said that he has now been found and is in serious condition.

“He was just taken to hospital. Condition serious, was found under the sea.” Moosa Abdulla said.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that the incident reported to the Police at 8:50 p.m. tonight took place after the two men attempted to swim back to the island after their dinghy capsized while out fishing.
