Man arrested with 39 liquor bottles in Male

Police raided a private residence in Maldives and arrested a man who was found with 39 liquor bottles.

Police said that the man arrested was 28 years old.

The man was arrested on Monday after Drug Enforcement Department officials acted upon Intel they received regarding a man who possessed and sold liquor bottles.

Police said that the 39 liquor bottles were found from the apartment of the suspect.

Police has been granted a 5 day remand period by Criminal Court during which he will be kept in a place arranged by Home Ministry while police investigate the case.
