Maldives Police Service has said that investigation of the fire at the warehouse of Lily Store in Maafannu has not been completed yet.
The fire at the Lily warehouse took place on 19 March 2015. A Police Media Official said that the investigation of the fire is still ongoing.
It is unclear if an arrest regarding the fire was made or the cause of the fire. While it’s nearly a year since the fire, the progress of the Police investigation has not been made public either.
Owner of Lily Store, the famous merchant Mallaa Naasir has previously said that the fire at his warehouse cost him MVR 30 million in loss.
The warehouse was insured by Allied Insurance. Although no one was injured in the fire, the houses in the area were severely affected.
