Group people have attacked the MP for Dhangethi constituency

A group of people have attacked the MP for Dhangethi constituency and Deputy Leader of Jumhooree Party (JP) Ilham Ahmed.

A witness to the attack said that a group of people attacked MP Ilham and his three-year-old daughter while they were passing Hiriya School on Maafannu on a motorcycle around 10:40 a.m. this morning.

The witness said that two siblings of MP Ilham were at the scene and they were attacked as well although no one was injured physically.

“About 15 minutes passed in that conflict.” The witness said.

Regarding the issued, a Police Media Official said that such a case was reported and is being investigated. No further details were given.

MP Ilham told Sun Media today that he is very sad that the people who attacked him touched his daughter and did so in front of his daughter.

He said that all the information relevant to the attack has been shared with the Police.
