New public toilets in artificial beach officially opens

The new public toilets and the showers built at the Henveiru Artificial Beach has been officially opened.

The area named "Fen Dhaani" (local name for a tool used to fetch water from a well,) was officially opened by the Housing Minister Dr. Mohammed Muizzu.

Male Water and Sewage Company (MWSC) was contacted to build the showers at the artificial beach on 31 August 2015.

The project was conducted by the CSR Component of the project, hence no with no cost to the state.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dr. Muizzu said that some important facilities are established at the new showers and toilets.

"And so we're including a mother-care room. And a special washroom for special needs people. And two separate changing rooms for men and women. With locker rooms and open and closed showers, we're doing this." Dr. Muizzu said.
