Luxury cruise liner Nautica arrives in Maldives

US luxury cruise ship Nautica has arrived in Male harbor.

Nautica is operated by Oceania Cruises and has a capacity of 680 passengers.

Oceania Cruises’ Maldivian representative, Maldives Association of Yacht Agents (Maya) said that the ship’s last port was Seychelles and it will depart to Colombo, Sri Lanka, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 30 December 2015.

About 500 tourists on-board the ship are expected to visit Male.

Cruise ships arrival in Maldives increases during the tourism high-season, roughly from December to April, every year.

Earlier in December, about 700 tourists visited Male on a luxury liner operated by US company Regent Seven Seas.

Maya says another one is expected in January 2016.

Oceania Cruises operates six cruise liners in total, including three with capacities of 800 passengers.
