Four arrested with drugs in Himmafushi

Four people have been arrested with drugs in Kaafu Himmafushi.

Police said the suspects taken into custody in the operation using the dog squad, carried out on Saturday, 26 December 2015, were Maldivian men aged 20, 26, 28, and 39.

A total of 22 houses in the island were searched, and items seized include 10 packets containing a substance believed to be drugs and equipment used to pack drugs.

The operation was conducted by Police Drug Enforcement Department, Police Specialist Operations Department, and Himmafushi Police Station.
