Maldives Police Service has said that since the current contractor building flats for the Police in Hulhumalé cannot complete the project, they are seeking a new contractor to finish the project.
Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali told Sun Media today that part of the 300-flat project in Hulhumalé has been completed. He said that the current contractor has said that they cannot complete the project and so the Police are now working to find a new contractor.
“Now the Police Cooperative Society (Polco) is looking for a way to complete it. And so they are also working on gaining the funds for the project.” Information Officer Ismail Ali said.
Police have previously said that they are securing their own funds for the project rather than using Government funds.
The project includes 210 three-room apartments and 90 two-room apartments.
