Project launched to provide 408 flats to civil servants, state company staff

A project is under way to construct 408 flats in Hulhumalé to be issued to civil servants and staff of state companies.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said this included one- to four-bedroom flats, and more information would be made available soon.

Efforts are ongoing on establishing the criteria to determine eligibility for the flats.

HDC is working on expanding the housing market, which includes identifying market segments and constructing flats targeted at those segments in several phases.

The 408 flats, to be constructed under phase 1, would be completed in 2016.
