Harbor caf

Cafés at the south west harbor of Malé City has been ordered to close down temporarily for the opening ceremony of the park in the area.

An official from the Housing Ministry told Sun Media today that they have ordered that the cafés be closed down from 11:20 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. today for the opening ceremony of that harbor park.

The official said that President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom has been invited but at this time, it is unclear who would open the park.

After the explosion on board the Presidential Launch in September, the security has been tightened at the events where the President would be attending.

The children’s park developed at “Raaveribey Maizan” (lit: Sa- tapper Grounds) as a children’s playground where they can enjoy while the seats are allocated for parents. A new parking zone has been developed in the area as well.
