Police investigate ACP Nawaz social media accounts hack

Police have started investigation into the case of Facebook and Twitter account of Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdulla Nawaz being hacked.

Police information officer spoke to “Sun” on Saturday and said that the complaint had been filed with police on November 19.

“The issue of Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdulla Nawaz’s Twitter account and Facebook account being hacked has been filed with police on November 19. The case is under investigation by police,” said the information officer.

Hackers have been conveying statements against the government in his name.

No further details regarding the investigation is available from police.
