PG: We have not decided not to pursue a case related to Adheeb

Prosecutor General (PG) Muhuthaz Muhusin has said that that they intend to pursue charges in all the cases related to the former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Gafoor.

PG Muhusin tweeted tonight saying that they have not decided not to pursue any cases against the former Vice President.

The PG said this after some medias reported that the PG’s Office returned two of the cases relation to the former Vice President back to the Police.

An official from the PG’s Office said that the Police have not presented any cases against the former Vice President Adheeb to them as of yet.

The official said that the Police have discussed Adheeb’s corruption case involving Police Intelligence Officers and possession of a firearm with the prosecutors.

They official said that the Police took the documents of the case to the meeting and the prosecutors advised the Police on completing some of the aspects of the case.
