Police discuss security for the Republic Day ceremony

Maldives Police service has held a discussion on the security of the official Republic Day ceremony hosted by the Government.

In the meeting led by the Central Operations Command at Iskandharu Koshi, the safety and security of the people and dignitaries attending the Republic Day function.

The MNDF assistance along with the closing of the nearby roads and rerouting of the traffic was also discussed at the meeting.

Speaking at this meeting, the Deputy Head of the Central Operations Command, Chief Superintendent of Police, Abdulla Shareef said that the security at the function and the traffic flow must be managed perfectly and make arrangements to reduce the impact of that on the people as much as possible.

Malé City Police, Directorate of Intelligence, Special Operations Department, Traffic Management Department, Maafannu Police, Galolhu Police and Police Media attended the meeting.
