New High Commissioner of Pakistan Calls on Foreign Minister Dunya

The new High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Syed Khawar Ali, has called the Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon.

Minister Dunya welcomed the High Commissioner and congratulated him on his appointment at the meeting at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday morning and discussed ways of further strengthening and diversifying the existing close relations between the Maldives and Pakistan.

The High Commissioner assured his commitment to working closely with the Government of Maldives to enhance collaboration in areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries.

Before his meeting with the Foreign Minister, the Pakistani High Commissioner presented his credentials to President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom at the President’s Office. President Yamin and the High Commissioner discussed strengthening the relationship between the two countries at the meeting.
