Two injured in accident at sea

Two people have been injured in an accident involving a speedboat en route to Baa Eydhafushi and a dhoni (slow boat).

Police said the accident occurred at 7:30 p.m. Friday near Soneva Fushi Resort.

Four people fell into the sea upon collision, the police spokesperson said. He added that two of them were injured but did not provide details.

President of Eydhafushi Council Mohamed Naurif told Sun Media that the two people who were injured belonged to the slow boat.

He said that one of them suffered an injury to one arm, and they are both doing fine.
