MDP rally delayed

MDP protest rally that was originally scheduled for tomorrow has been delayed to a later date.

The last minute meeting of the MDP National Congress tonight at the MDP decided to host the rally after the current State of Emergency has been revoked.

The resolution by MP Rozaina Adam was passed by the unanimous vote of the congress.

The MDP Congress meeting also called the Government to revoke the current State of Emergency declared in the country. The members who spoke at the function said that this is not a time to declare a State of Emergency.

At the MDP congress tonight, Police warned not to use megaphones. And after the members refused, Police warned to break up the congress.

And after the meeting, some members of the party remained in the area raising their voices and the Police warned to disperse. And the area was cleared after the warning.
