Changes brought to six departments of the Police

Changes have been brought to Heads of some of the Commands, Directorates and Departments of the Maldives Police Service.

The changes to the Police were brought by the acting head of the Police, Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Areef. Police Media says that the changes were brought to strengthen the Police structure.

And so the Assistant Commissioner, Abdul Mannaan Yousuf was assigned as the Head of the Commissioner’s Bureau. Assistant Commissioner Faruhaad Fikuree was assigned as the Head of the Information and Communication Technology Directorate. While Assistant Commissioner Ali Sujaau was assigned as the Head of the Divisional Operations Command, Superintendent Moosa Ali was assigned as the Head of the Drug Enforcement Department. And Superintendent Hussain Rasheed was assigned as the Head of the General Investigation Department and the position as the Head of the Strategic and Legal Department was given to the Superintendent of Police, Ahmed Shifan.
