Maldivian on-board supply boat Maarana remains missing

The Maldivian crew member on supply boat Maarana 4 is still missing, Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said.

MNDF Information Officer Major Adnan Mohamed told Sun Media that the search operation is ongoing.

The 75-foot blue boat went missing on Sunday night with three crew members, two foreigners and a Maldivian, on-board. The two foreigners have been found and rescued.

Two other boats, Noomas and Atoll Express, going from Laamu Atoll to Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, also went missing on the same day. They both sank due to bad weather, though everyone was rescued without injuries.
