Three road shows cancelled due to closing of MMPRC

Sources have said that three road shows have been forced to cancel since the Police and MNDF has closed down Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

The cancelled road shows were at China, France and America.

On 18 October, MMPRC was first checked by MNDF officers before Police officers took part in the search. Since then, the office of MMPRC has been closed and under guard of Police and MNDF.

Sources say that the accounts and SEZ were the most searched in the MMPRC Office.

The President has ordered the Auditor General, Hassan Ziyath to do a special audit of MMPRC.

Managing Director of MMPRC, Abdulla Ziyath, who is currently under arrest for corruption and Auditor General Hassan Ziyath are brothers.
