Vice President Adheeb loses PPM membership

Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Gafoor has lost his membership with PPM.

A PPM press release tonight said that Adheeb was terminated after reviewing a case submitted to regulatory committee for acting outside the party’s basic regulations and working about the interests of the party.

The membership Vice President Adheeb and a supporter of his, Ali Shaahid (Step-Ayya) were also terminated by the party according to the statement. Step-Ayya, who was dismissed from the position of Coordinator at the Youth Ministry, was terminated from the party for working against the interests of PPM and going against the regulations of the party.

Step-Ayya is also a member of the PPM Election Committee.

Vice President Ahmed Adheeb was arrested on Saturday upon his arrival to the country after his 11-day visit to China. On the day of his arrest, Police searched 11 locations and arrested three people.
