The repairs were tasked to Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC). The project was awarded to the company in September.
Renewing the road signs is also under the repairs of the road. The Housing Ministry said that speed breakers and reflectors would also be installed on the road.
Talking to Sun Media, the Addu City Site Manager of MRDC, Abdulla Rasheed said that it would take two weeks to complete the project. He said that the project was delayed due to bad weather.
While MRDC has been tasked to finish the project in three months, the Ministry says that the project would cost MVR 1.3 million.
