Shaweed appointed member of OCA Advisory Committee

Mohamed Shaweed, chairman of Football Association of Maldives (FAM) Normalisation Committee, has been appointed as a member of the Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah Advisory Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

On Facebook, Shaweed said, “It's a privilege to work with you as a member of the Olympic Council of Asia advisory committee. The ANOC president, Chairman of Olympic Solidarity and FIFA Executive Committee member H.E Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah has appointed me as a member of the OCA Advisory Committee.”

Kuwait’s Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah is a member of FIFA Executive Committee.

Shaweed worked closely with Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah and Asian Football Federation (AFC) President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa at the AFC Congress earlier this year.

Shaweed is also the Chairman of the Maldives Olympic Committee.
