Adeeb was in China to attend the Maldives Investment Forum.
Several groups have accused him of having a hand in the explosion on the presidential speedboat on 28 September 2015.
Adeeb has denied the accusations and asked not to base the investigation around him.
Umar Naseer, head of National Inquiry Commission, set up to investigate the blast, has said that the investigation will “go after evidence”, and that it was not targeted at any particular person.
Yesterday, police confiscated the hard drive of the CCTV camera of Soft and Shop, a shop at the bottom floor of G. Humashige, Adeeb’s apartment building.
Police have also seized CCTV footage of Rehendhi building, which contains an apartment frequented by Adeeb.
National Inquiry Commission says the explosion was targeted at the President.
