HDC terminates agreements for 11 of Gasim

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has sent “Termination Letters” for agreements on 11 land plots in Hulhumalé owned by Jumhooree Party (JP) Leader Gasim Ibrahim.

Sun Media has learned from credible sources that this follows failure by Gasim’s companies to carry out work on these land plots as per the agreements.

When contacted by Sun Media, a senior official of HDC said that “something like that has happened” and the land plots in question belong to Villa Group and Gasim’s family members.

He also said that Termination Letters have been sent regarding 16 land plots in the industrial area in Hulhumalé.
