Application opens for the Youth Award

Applications have been opened for the Youth Award that celebrates and support the notable works by the youth for the development of the country.

The Youth Ministry said today that the applications are open until 1 p.m. of 25 October.

“If in Malé, applications are to be submitted to the Maafannu Youth Center (Social Center or reception of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (on the third floor at Velaanaage). In the islands, applications are to be submitted through their respective Youth Centers or Island Councils.” An Official from the Youth Ministry said.

The Youth Award includes the special trophy, certificate and a MVR 25,000 prize money.

This year, as in the past, 17 November is scheduled to be marked as the Youth Day. Youth Awards would be given in ten different categories this year.
