Over MVR 500,000 stolen from Island Aviation Office

Over MVR 500,000 has been stolen from the office of Island Aviation in Malé.

Police said that the theft was reported at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and the thieves had tied up the security guard at the building.

“Three safes have been broken, and over MVR 500,000 has been stolen. This was done after tying up the security guard,” the police spokesperson said.

The investigation is under way but no arrests have been made.
