Three more people arrested in the Fuvahmulah violence

Three more people have been arrested today following the violence in Gn. Fuvahmulah that left five people injured following attacks with a sharp object.

Police Media Official said that the three people were arrested with a court order. Five people were arrested last night in the case. The number of people arrested has now risen to eight.

The Media Official said that the Fuvahmulah Court has added 15 days to the remand of all the eight people.

The five people who were injured in the attack last night around 11:15 p.m. last night was taken to the Fuvahmulah Hospital and began treatment. Two of the injured who were in serious condition has been transferred to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital in Addu City.

Manager of the Fuvahmulah Hospital, Mohamed Faruzaad said that the two men who were transferred to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital are now recovering. And three remaining in Fuvahmulah hospital are also recovering.

A source in Fuvahmulah told Sun Media that while a group of people from Hoadhadu district were playing cards at a house in their district, a group from Dhoodigam district came on motorcycles and attacked them.
