MNDF begins operation checking vessels

MNDF Coast Guard begins a special operation checking vessels travelling across the country for the Eid holidays.

A statement issued on the MNDF website says that they are conducting safety searches checking if the vessels have life jackets, fire extinguishers and other safety measures starting from this morning.

With the Eid holidays almost upon us, a large number of Maldivians are travelling via sea to see their friends and families.

And so the MNDF advises that everyone take precautions with the latest weather reports when planning their travels.
