MET Office: Showers are expected across the country for the next 24 hours

National Meteorological Center has said that rain is expected across the country for the next 24 hours.

MET Office estimates that the sea would be rough in the showers expected for the next 24 hours.

Winds are expected to pick up to between 13-23 miles an hour in the North and Central atolls in the next 24 hours and winds are expected to pick up, up to 45 miles an hour during showers. Winds in the South of the country are expected to between 7-17 miles an hour.

Seas are expected to be rough on average and more turbulent during showers. The MET Office has advised caution during sea transportation.
