Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) has won the majority at Shaviyani Atoll, Feevah Council.
While the Vice President of the Feevah Council, Ali Riza and the Council’s MDP member Ahmed Naseer has signed to MDA, a member of the Council signed to MDA on a previous occasion as well. And so MDA has three members on the Feevah Council.
Speaking at the signing ceremony of the two members from Feevah Council today at the office of Sun Siyam, the MDA Leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed said that the party has no other purpose than to serve the people.
“We are not people who want something else. We are going to serve the people.” Siyam said.
After the signing, the Vice President of the Feevah Council, Ali Riza said that development can be achieved by joining the Government and the island’s biggest concern is their sewage and waste management systems. And he requested a solution to those problems soon.
Leader of MDA, Siyam said that he would work to include the sewage system of Feevah in the budget of 2016.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Leader of MDA and the MP for Kendhikulhudhoo constituency, Ali Mauroof said that the MDA thinking is to move forward with PPM and would work as PPM as the main “father.”
