Naiveen appointed to HRCM

Naiveen Abdulla, Shumais, S. Hithaadhoo has been appointed to Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).

Naiveen swore in as a member of HRCM in front of President Abdulla Yameen in a ceremony held at Presidential Office on Sunday morning.

She was sworn in by Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed.

Naiveen’s appointment marks the completion of appointment of all five HRCM members.

HRCM now consists of Abdulla Naiveen – who was appointed on Sunday – as well as Moosa Ali Kaleyfaanu of Husnuheenaage in R. Kandholhudhoo, former Central Fuvahmulah MP Shifaq Mufeed, Aminath Enas of H. Habaruge in Male’, and Aishath Afreen Mohamed of M. Coralgardens in Male’.
