Met Office: Sea swells likely during high tide

Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has said that sea swells are likely during high tide in some parts of the country.

Met Office has warned for bad weather which can, in addition to sea swells, bring heavy rains, strong winds, and thunder.

North-westerly winds will be experienced at between 13 mph and 23 mph in southern atolls, and between 8 mph and 18 mph in other atolls. It is expected to gust to over 40 mph during rainstorms.

Rough seas can be expected across the country, Met Office said.
